    Lizzy's brood

The kittens are now over 8 weeks old, will be 9 weeks on Saturday. I don't want to let them go without being fixed first. I'm having the hardest time finding a place that will do that for less than 350 a kitten. So frustrating! Mom doesn't want them to nurse anymore so she'll be getting spayed...

Cat showing all signs of labor, but no kittens...

I'm shocked to hear this as well. Was expecting a kitten to have passed, but then a section and spay for mom. I'm so sorry. 128547128546

Cat showing all signs of labor, but no kittens...

Better to be safe in case she's not able to do it on her own. Good luck!

my cat is 70 days pregnant still no babies ?

I've read some cats go to 72 days. If you know the exact date then I'd give her another day or two, provided she's not acting abnormal.

Cat showing all signs of labor, but no kittens...

If she's been staining for this long without producing the kitten, I'd at the very least call my vet. Let them know the situation in case you need to rush her in.

Cat showing all signs of labor, but no kittens...

If it's been an hour of her pushing and the kitten isn't out... She needs a vet visit. The contractions may be moving the kitten into position. If she's pushing without progress though, that's when you worry.

Kitten won't drink water, only kitten milk

I'm assuming once his body has the need for water he'll begin drinking it.

Pleaaaase let Aaru have her kittens safely and SOON...

If you're the one feeding her she'll most likely not disappear by choice. In late pregnacy nearly all cats have this desire to run outside and escape. Even cats who spent their entire life inside. So your mom cat may just sit on the porch now, but may dart off and attempt to find a "safe" place...

    Accidental pregnancy

Weaning is really a process and it's different for each litter. Some moms are done at 5 weeks and others nurse much longer. Mine are 8 weeks and eating wet and dry food, but still nurse when mom lets them. Kittens learn so much between 6 and 10 weeks so if you can keep them for 10-12 weeks it's...

Sadie (mama) 2 orange kittens, 2 white and 1 just like her!

All 4 of mine were below 90 grams too,(79, 76, 90, 87) these weights were taken 12 hours after birth. They did great and I didn't need to supplement, BUT I did make sure they all latched on to feed every 2 hours round the clock for the first 3 days. After that I checked in every 4. It's...

1st time mom/anxious owner.. Help! TLDR

That just doesn't sound like a good situation at all. I know people let cats outside more often than not and declawed them when inside back in the day.... but that is quickly becoming something that people realize isn't kind and is not necessary. I am glad that he was honest with you because I'm...

Pleaaaase let Aaru have her kittens safely and SOON...

She's crying to go out because that is what she knows. But give her time, she'll settle down. And I hope once the kittens arrive that she'll not insist on going out so much. She really must stay indoors until these kittens are 8 weeks old. It's for their health and safety too. She may  cry, but...

    Possible resorption?

The plungers do stick after a while, really no helping that. I am sorry to hear mom isn't producing milk, but glad that they'll be hopefully receiving more food now from you. That runt is super tiny still. Soon they'll be able to drink their milk from a dish, which will make your life easier.

Yay! The kittens are here! You think she has one left? I thought Liz was done and out popped another lol. Their tummy may feel hard even after they've finished, until things shrink back down in there. Glad they're here! Congrats! :hyper:

    Pregnant girls

Oh my goodness! After these babies get the colostrum from mom, hopefully tabby can help feed a kitten or two here and there. Otherwise you may end up supplementing. I'm off to bed now, but looking forward to pics when you are able. Glad they have finally arrived! 128513
