Calling all knitters and other woolly things.

I’ve heard about those!! I saw a vid on YouTube where a girl made a felt dog for an owner who lost hers. The result was so lifelike! I tried one of those tiny kits (didn’t turn out well), but I still love it!

    Claw clipping (back claws)

Hobbes is pretty good for nail trimming. Sometimes he gets feisty and I have ONE claw left to do so I have to restrain him. Man the looks he gives me after. If he nips you really bad, maybe you have to do the two person trick? One restrains and the other trims? EDIT: Obviously you don’t hold...

    Cone Problems

He doesn’t like being held to look at that specific area so a pic would be very hard

    Cone Problems

I think I read that forum. It was a good one! We could probably take the cone off. I feel bad ignoring the vet’s orders, they sounded pretty firm with it. Hobbes has been ok, as in he really hasn’t been impacted by the cone (albeit a bit annoyed), but otherwise he’s ok. Maybe tomorrow we could...

    Cone Problems

It’ll be a week tomorrow. It’s an open wound (no stitches) so they want him to keep it on. I think we can take it off early. Maybe Friday.

    Cone Problems

Yeah the vet didn’t put stitches. I’m going to keep trying with him. He is so mad with it but it’s for the best. The vet says that he will give himself an infection if he licks it.

Introducing a new cat into the home but now he has ear mites 😭

Poor kitty! That’s a hassle. If he has to stay in there I guess he has to stay in there. Maybe put some toys and switch them out with different toys to make things interesting? Hope your kitty gets better soon!

    Cone Problems

Yeah it’s a fabric tie. I tighten it every few days. I might have to tighten it again. His wound is healing really amazing. I can barely find it anymore, it’s that healed.

    Cone Problems

So Hobbes got neutered. Most of you know that, and he has a cone. Yippee. The cone is vet’s orders till Sunday, so that’s what we are doing. But Hobbes (the stinker), is keep getting his jaw stuck underneath the bottom rim of the cone. It’s hard to describe, but it’s pretty stuck. His mouth is...

Summer-izing Feral Cat Shelter - Questions

I think it would be fine. As long as it has her scent maybe she’ll be chill with it.

    Litter Box Problems

Update! The new litter box came. It’s a plastic high sided, and has almost completely fixed the problem! So happy. Because he is my cat, he still figures out how to make a mess, but at least there aren’t pools of litter everywhere. Thanks again for the great suggestions!

I think my neighbours are trying to steal my cat. Please i need help and advice.

Every time I read this thread I walk away flabbergasted. Can’t believe that people would haunt you for this long over a cat. Any updates? I hope the suggestions above helped.

Recipes - Cakes And Other Baked Desserts

I love to make cupcakes and layered cakes. And I make my icing from scratch. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I get a killer headache after one too many very rich cupcakes. I love this icing recipe, because it’s noticeably less sweet, and compliments any cake or cupcake you slap it on. My...
