Thank you everyone! She has been doing well since we came home, and she is currently sleeping in her bed. I'm sure she feels so much relief that she can finally sleep and not have to worry about predators and other cats, and not be concerned about when her next meal will be. Her and...
Thank you all! Miraculously she is flea/tick free, and parasite free! The vet said she is in good health overall! Will be sending lots of pictures soon!
Sad news: we caught a cat but it wasn't mine. It was a big gray cat instead. I'm really disappointed and disheartened. The trap got set off but instead of my cat being in there, it was a gray cat. I'm really sad and I'm starting to give up hope again
@catsknowme I never thought of putting food on top of the trap. If I still don't have her by tonight or tomorrow, I'll definitely try that! Same with the tortilla idea too. Juniper is pretty smart and it's possible she was trapped by a live trap before (she was a stray before I adopted her) but...
I don't have anything on the bottom of the trap, so I will make sure to put something down. Really do hope that this isn't a look alike cat. The owner of the shed said the food she placed out has been eaten signifgantly, and she placed the rest in the food dish I put inside the trap. Hoping she...
@Mamanyt1953 Do you have any good ones you would suggest? I didn't even think about a break away. The one I was considering had a belt-like buckle
@goingpostal I'm sure she would. I don't have any trail cams currently, but if I don't have any success by Sunday I'll purchase one. Do you have any...
Also, I ordered a collar for her, along with a tag. God forbid this ever happens again, I'll be able to hear her with the bell on the collar, and people may notice more quickly since she has a collar
Will do! I checked the shed and didn't see any sign of her. A live trap near the entrance has been laid out. Some food is in it, along with her blanket and my tshirt on it to hide the metal, along with her litter box. Now comes the hard part: getting her to go in and waiting
@Carter4321 I get what you're going through. My cat Juniper escaped from my apartment complex on March 26th. Please don't give up hope! I'd suggest putting out a live trap with some of his food and maybe a scent item of his like a blanket or some towels and a dirty tshirt of yours. Good luck...
Sighting update: we confirmed the sighting with the lady and it was her. She put out food for her, and we investigated the collapsing house she might've been in. No luck, but it was pretty large and had lots of crawl spaces. The owner of that house got my number and is going to put out food as...
Amazing news! I may have just got a potential sighting! A lady saw my flyer at the vet, and saw a cat on her porch last night that looked just like her! Praying that it's her! Me and my roommate will go search tonight after her work shift
I'm trying. I really am. I'm just so incredibly saddened over the fact that I live in a farming community with lots of open fields, trees, and lakes. She could be anywhere. I out her litterbox out tonight once more (we've gotten a lot of rain recently, so I put it by my door instead.) Hoping for...
I do think that's possible. If that did happen, I just wish they'd take her to the vet. She is microchipped, and I would get to see her again. In 2 days will be a month, and it's really affecting me. I no longer can look at pictures of her without breaking down and crying. It's killing me not...
I'm sorry he never returned. I hope someone took him in, and that he still remembers all the love you gave him. Thank you, and I will! This thread is definitely one of the few things that is keeping me going, and I always look forward to seeing a response. It's nice knowing others have gone...
Thank you for this. I really needed it. Today marks week 4, and I've been pretty down because of it. No recent sightings, and it saddens me. I do hope she's still out there and will soon come back This has taken a huge toll on my mental health, and just yesterday I broke down crying for 3 hours...
