Pregnant queen being aggressive before kittens are born

I'm definitely prepared to be as hands-off as she needs me to be! I'm trying to work with her, at her pace, and just be nearby if she needs anything. I just don't think I was expecting her to be so protective/angry before the kittens were here. After their arrival I expect to dart in and put...

Pregnant queen being aggressive before kittens are born

Thank you @catsknowme ! This isn't my first rodeo with socializing ferals, just my first time with a pregnant mama :) We have her on a combination of raw food and high-quality kitten food to keep up her calorie intake. She has access to fresh water and goat milk; I'll put out some KMR for her...

Signature doesn't seem to be in profile menu

Ooohhhh. That must have changed at some point since I initially joined... is there any way that a mod or someone could clear out my current signature? Nutmeg has since passed away, and there are other cats in my pack now, so my sig is very outdated.

Signature doesn't seem to be in profile menu

This is the direct link on that help page, and the resulting error I get when I click that link

Signature doesn't seem to be in profile menu

That's the help page I was referring to that has a direct link to the signature editor (that's giving me an error). My user menu is missing the signature option :(

Signature doesn't seem to be in profile menu

So some years back I was able to set a signature here -- I need to update it now, but the 'signature' option is not showing in my drop-down user menu; the direct link in the help page is not working for me either, I get a " You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action. "...

Pregnant queen being aggressive before kittens are born

Last December, a little black-and-white cat showed up in the yard. Extremely afraid of humans, super skinny. We tried to trap, but she was too smart for the traps, so we started leaving food out and built her a warming hut. Back then, we couldn't tell if the cat was a "he" or a "she" ... but...

    Chronic Sinusitis Insanity

1-week update! OK, so last Saturday my vet decided on a few changes: No more metacam (she was really pissed Nutmeg was on it) An rx that day for an inhaler A version of mirtazapine that can be rubbed on the pinna of her ear, instead of by pill After a week of using the inhaler, she is...

    Chronic Sinusitis Insanity

Now that I've talked with my vet I feel a little less spiraling-out-of-control. There were things she liked and things she didn't, but she at least feels that the inhaler is worth a shot, but waiting so long for it to arrive isn't in Nutmeg's best interest, so we're now armed with an inhaler, an...

    Chronic Sinusitis Insanity

Remember how I said I love my vet? My vet's office called her, and she called me. She's writing me an rx for the inhaler I can get at a local pharm until the Canadian one comes in, and we're going off of the Meloxicam as it doesn't seem to be helping. She isn't super thrilled about how quickly...

    Chronic Sinusitis Insanity

The quick weaning and suddenly changing of her meds by the specialist is one of the reasons I feel like this whole thing is crazy. While on the prednisolone, she was at least eating SOME, even if it was reduced. She didn't have entire days where she refused to eat, like she does now. That...

    Chronic Sinusitis Insanity

The vet that took us off of the prednisolone is the specialist. She took in total about 4 weeks - but only because Nutmeg was on a double-dose at the time. She was taking .8cc in the morning with breakfast, and .8cc in the evening with dinner. The tapering/future medication schedule looks like...

    Chronic Sinusitis Insanity

I'm taking her into the bathroom with me because it did seem to help previously - the steam seems to loosen everything up and is easier to sneeze out. But the past week or two it hasn't been as effective. Combined with her wheezing (it sounds like she's breathing through a straw), I think...

    Chronic Sinusitis Insanity

I need a sanity check. My vet's office has no available appointments today, my long-term usual vet is out until Monday, and the specialist we're seeing is ONLY in on Mondays (and I'm not sure I trust her). We have a senior-ish kitty, named Nutmeg, who has been with us for about 4 or 5 years...
