She has Cody's room which is the quietest room in the house. We keep the door closed most of the time & she does fine but if I leave it open for her to go in and out on her own, she will move them. The older kittens stay on the living room, they don't go near her ever since she had the new babies.
Update...all 5 kittens look like boys...lol! I will have to wait a little longer to make sure cause she keeps trying to move them & I don't understand why.
She gave the white kitten to my doxie Lilly last week. Scared me to death but Lilly didn't hurt it at all. I got up this morning & went to...
@sarthur2 thank you for everything. Daisy had 5 kittens. She still had not cleaned herself up earlier today & still would not get up or out of the box. So I called the vet & took her in to be checked. She had a full bladder & couldn't pee but no more kittens were shown. The vet helped her...
This kitten had pulled so much & so hard that it had torn it some already. Luckily it was not near it's belly. I got it tied off twice & cut without too much trouble. Now I'm back to waiting.
Ok so this kitten is extremely strong for a newborn & still attached after almost an hour & a half. It is stretching the cord very taut to get to a place to nurse. I'm afraid to let it go much longer, I'm afraid it might tear it's tummy at the cord.
Yes the placenta for the white one came right out. Now she's doing it again. The 4th one born is still attached & I have a raging headache that just won't quit. I wish she would do like she did the first litter and go by the book.
Thanks a bunch for all your support. I've got her beside my bed because she decided she wanted to use a tote box this time. I put another one under it to raise it where she can she me cause she has a fit if she can't. It's wedged between my bed & my desk so it is very stable. She seems like she...
1230am my time, just now, placenta finally came out! Thank the Lord above. Now hopefully she can get on with having these others that I can still feel moving around.
just the two. the first one came out no problem, placenta followed right after. then 32 minutes later the second one was born and still is attached. it is nursing even though it is still attached. both are doing well. so far the only problem is her not delivering the placenta. I am SURE she as...
yeah, it's the same mom. Daisy got out and was caught very quickly each time but apparently NOT quickly enough.
we have changed things around this time so that she cannot get out when the door is opened for anyone to go in or out.
She will be taken as soon as these are weaned and able to eat...
not enough room for me to get in there and tie it off. I have also been told that if the placenta is still inside that it is best to leave it alone.
either way I cant get in between them to do it if I wanted to
Kitten born an hour ago but placenta still not delivered. The kitten is still attached & mom has made no move to change that. Mom send happy & content, no signs of distress. What's the longest you have seen it take for the placenta to deliver after the kitten?
He is still at 12oz...Cody did weigh them the other day before the trauma happened & he said he weighed 13oz.
He does urinate when I use a wet warm paper towel or cotton ball.
I have not weighed him today, yesterday we didn't weigh them because everything WAS fine at the normal time we do that. I will weigh him & try my best to get him to eat. He will only take a little over 2mls at a time do I am going to be doing this almost constantly. IF he will take it. He really...
