Support For Socializing Feral Momma Cat

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be) accusatory (is that even a word) or ungrateful. I am very appreciative of all of the advice. I'm just stressed, panicking & very worried about her.

Support For Socializing Feral Momma Cat

I picked up one of the kittens to check on it and held it for a while. The mom did not seem the least bit interested. I had to get very close to her to pick up the kitten. However, when I placed the kitten back in with her, she tried to slap me again tonight. I realize I should just spend time...

Support For Socializing Feral Momma Cat

I'm afraid to try this. I'm afraid she will lash out and it will just traumatize her. I just don't have enough confidence to do this, I don't think.

Support For Socializing Feral Momma Cat

I've had a couple of people express interes Yes ma'am, I realize that. Me adopting her is absolutely not an option. I cannot adopt an animal that I am terrified of. I already feel guilty enough, please don't make me feel worse about this. :'(

Support For Socializing Feral Momma Cat

I have 6 cats of my own and I just don't want to disrupt the harmonious household with another cat. Keeping her outside, IMO, is not the best option. I live in a subdivision and I've heard there are coyotes.

Thank you. I absolutely will be getting her spayed. No, I am not keeping any of them. I'm at max capacity, with 6 cats.

Support For Socializing Feral Momma Cat

Thanks for all of the replies, I will address each one after I get off of work. I have them in 2 large 36" crates with the slide up door attached to one another. They are currently in my guest bedroom. I'm very concerned about her bolting out and running into my cats if I let her roam free in...

Support For Socializing Feral Momma Cat

Hi everyone. I am in need of support from you guys. I trapped a feral cat and her 4 day old kittens on April 5th. It was from my work and, through the grapevine, I got word that some stupid a$$hole was going to kill them. (Yes I contacted animal control, but they can't do much without proof and...

    Need Help Finding Abandoned Kittens

Hi everyone. Im in desperate need of help. I need to find some kittens whose mother was killed. I have not seen where the mom may have had them. Any suggestions where I should look. I don't think they'll make it through the night if I don't find them. Thanks in advance.

    Feeding Ferals At Work

No, on my own time. I would never do it during work hours. That is totally unethical.

    Feeding Ferals At Work

I would love to put them out in the woods behind my house, but I am in a subdivision and they are putting another one up just behind me. Plus, we have a terrible coyote problem.

    Feeding Ferals At Work

There are LOADS of cats around the yard. This momma and all of her babies just happen to settle in a building more so than the other cats on site. There are LOTS of other employees that see me with the traps and say why are they getting rid of the cats, they do a great job of keeping mice and...

    Feeding Ferals At Work

Thank you for the compliment. To add more to this story, my direct supervisors told me that I was absolutely NOT to help trap these cats. However, I AM working around the specific directions I was given. Right at the line, but not crossing it. I have come to despise working for this company that...

    Feeding Ferals At Work

I think I have a home lined up for the other 3, as well. I was hoping to keep them all together, but I don't think that will happen.

    Feeding Ferals At Work

I'm working on trapping the other 3. I have attempted to convince these people about the benefits of keeping altered cats, but if is useless. They absolutely don't get it. I believe the origins of this colony are a momma kitty that someone dropped off there. She's pregnant with her 3rd litter now.

I have found a home for the first 2 that I caught. They are going to be barn cats.

    Feeding Ferals At Work

Hi everyone. I started feeding some feral cats at my work recently. People were complaining about the cats and said they were going to get rid of them (whatever that means - it might mean trapping and relocating or taking to a shelter or something else). I volunteered to trap, neuter/spay and...
