Yes he's fine. His brother on the other hand is prone to GI upset (and I like to feed them the same food). But he's not that fussy. He just likes to eat. Like his Dad.
Thank you. He does this with all the food on his "will eat" list i.e. not only Wellness but also Purina EssentialCare and Rayne. So I suspect it's not an ingredient issue; he would be an excellent Quality Officer Cat for a pet food company.
I have a very picky but beautiful, adorable, loving and pretty much perfect Maine Coon. He has a super sensitive palate. He will eat certain types of canned food only (particularly Wellness) but is lot/batch specific. In other words he will also eat food from a certain batch (i.e. certain...
Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on switching from one probiotic to another. My kitty has been Proviable for years and I am thinking of switching to Visbiome. Not sure whether it's a good idea to switch suddenly or to wean off the one while weaning on the other.
I would suggest asking your vet about getting an ultrasound by someone who is experienced in feline ultrasound technique i.e. typically not by a general vet with the machine they have in their clinics. The US can measure intestinal wall thickness etc. which I believe would be useful in making a...
Long standing intermittent diarrhea. On long term Proviable. A vet in the US suggested trying a higher end probiotic like VSL3. I believe Visbiome for pets is the same but I can’t find them in Canada.
Re putting them out, well, these cats are very much "people cats" and would hate to be locked out overnight.
Re putting them out at 4:30-5 in the morning and going back to bed, I could do that except that I need to get up by 6 normally so I wouldn't really gain real sleep.
Your idea though...
I live with two 2 year old cats. One of them always wakes me up around 4:30 am as he wants breakfast. He usually does this by sitting next to me on the bed and tapping me on the shoulder. If this doesn't work, he extends a claw or two. Alternatively he will lick my head. If this doesn't seem to...
Good to know. I have considered a fountain but figured that it would just create a more obvious play source and lead to even more water play. Maybe I should give it a try.
