Pros: Affordable, easy to use
Pros: Affordable, easy to use
Cons: cats did not like it
My used to love Purina products but they would not touch this .
Pros: Keeps UTIs at bay for my girl
We started using this food for one of our female cats (and the other 2 cats she shares living quarters with) 5 years ago in response to a urinary tract infection. Since then we have periodically tried other foods, or tried taking her off of dry food completely, but it has always resulted in some type of urinary tract problem. This food along with her daily canned food helping seems to work in keeping her healthy and comfortable. I took off one star because I feel it is overpriced for the ingredients.
Pros: No more bladder stones. Likes the taste.
Cons: The size and shape shatter when he bites them so constantly have LOTS of crumbs.not an issue when you have a healthy cat)
Clyde is my first cat and he is awesome! I was devastated when he started peeing blood all over the place. Vet said bladder stones. Not sure what all they did in back besides give sub-q water but he seemed so much better when they brought him back. I was told that since house felines no longer get their nutrition from live prey that they do not get enough water at times and stones can form in the bladder. She recommended he be switched to wet food. I would need to cut corners to do it(disability check goes so far) and I did. I tried every canned cat food that they offered at the store. He would not touch any of them. Tried different flavors...textures...added broths...put them in the food processor. I ground organic chicken. He would not touch any of them. I remembered Purina in the past making a urinary tract formula. Came in boxes. He sniffed at it and I thought we had another failure. He loved it! He has not had any more trouble with bladder stones. He is healthy, happy and full of life and I am so grateful. While it is more expensive than regular dry food it IS affordable. I highly recommend this food.
Pros: Helps clear UTI crystals fast
Cons: cats don't love the taste
I have used PO UTI care for years now, having a female kitty who is extremely prone to UTI's. The couple of times I have gone off the food, within a couple of weeks she has another one. Even using the more expensive "organic" products and foods, she still manages to come down with one. The last time she started showing symptoms, I immediately went out and bought her some PO UTI formula and within two days it had cleared up again. I Swear by the stuff. I mix it with purina one indoor advantage just so they will eat it better b/c they don't love the taste. Truly recommend if your cat is prone to UTI's.
