Pros: 100% natural, safe for you & cats, decent clumping and odor control, lightweight to carry
Cons: Clumping gets a B grade, but the safety of it is a big plus
I have been experimenting with various natural litters, because I am horribly allergic to all clump kitty litters except this one and Worlds Best, because these two use 100% natural clumping agents and no chemicals.
The Worlds Best is, to me, the best...and they also have a pine scented version, but this Feline Pine Clumping is pure pine in a gravel-y texture, light weight, fairly decent odor control. No corn. No urine-sludge in the bottom of the pan that you have to dig out, EVER.
If you have smaller cats, like maybe one or two who are healthy and 7 lbs, you could do this litter very well.
But unfortunately my cats are both 15 Lbs and one has IBD type issues, so I really need something a little stronger in clumpability and odor control, yet have to have something that I am not allergic to.
I went back to WB, but this stuff is a close second....its safe, clean, light colored and smells fresh-pine-y. It is light to carry...a little too fluffy in the pan to scoop perfectly, but given what else is out there, I think that this one deserves a very good mention. Its a very good product and you won't be afraid to use it or have your cats using it.
Oh and by the way, the Feline Pine Pellets? OMG don't go there. My cats hated the pellets on their feet, the clumping aspect was non-existent. They would poop and jump out of the box without even attempting to cover it up, like they couldn't wait to get off the pellets and didn't even want to mess with digging or covering anything up.
But this clumping one is quite good.
