Pros: easy to use
Cons: measured food isn't always accurate
Back in the day I had a cat that was on a vet diet & she only ate dry. Me, being a kid liked to travel around so I bought one of these so I could leave for a few days & not have piles of food laying around the house. Ants seems to always find dry food on the floor so this is the reason I bought the machine.
You fill it up with kibble & then set the timer for the correct time. If you want to feed once, twice, three times, I think it's up to about 8 times per day, you set the thing at the specific times & for how long the chute stays open. Like if you want about 1/2 cup, you set the thing for 1 minute & it pushes out food for a minute. You can set it for all different amounts of time, it's really versatile.
I would recommend this to anyone as it was a very good product. I used it for about 10 years pretty continuously with no problems. They also make a medium & a large (for dog food).
