Catit Fresh & Clear Drinking Fountain for Cats and Puppies Reviews

I had one of these in 2007.  I bought it because I was tired of the cat hair getting into the pump of my fresh flow.

The Pros:  It's an attractive unit and the cats like to play in the water on the dome when it does work.  I found it easy to fill as well, but difficult to connect back onto the unit.

The Cons:  Unless perfectly level the water does not cover the dome and trails down one side.  The dome itself is difficult to get back into the proper position.  The filters are small and mostly ineffective.  I found that they would fill in about a week's time, and would still end up with fur in the pump, leading to a gurgling sound.  While this unit could have been very easy to clean, they put in little "bubbles" in the dish to make it pretty, and I had a heck of a time getting the dirt out from around these "bubbles".

Overall:  This fountain was not worth the money for the amount of effort it took to clean, the quality of the filters and the amount of fussing I had to do over it to make it not gurgle (a sound I hate) or to try to get the water to cover the dome.
