Cat Mate Pet Fountain

Finally - Fountain Success

Fantisticat

Pros: Haven't met a cat yet that doesn't like it

Cons: Need to buy filters...theoretically :- )

I've tried a number of fountains with cats who had stopped drinking, or had adopted the habit of drinking from water taps, which is high maintenance.   This is the first one that the cats enjoy.  It takes some effort, but very little.  The cleaning is simple and it's quiet.  You do need to plug the thing in, so you need to be close to a plug.   The drawback is the...

Drinkwell by Petsafe Hydrate Water Filtration System for Cats

“This is a great item . It turns a simple dish into a water fountain . You can put it in a shallow dish to create a waterfall effect or completely submerge to create a swirling effect . I put one  in a big square glass baking dish completely submerged so  it just gently agitates the water and cleans it at the same time and a second one in a shallow dish for a waterfall effect . My...” --2Cats4Me

“Connor and Murphy are ridiculously picky.  They would only drink water if I had just washed the bowl and filled it.  Rinsing it didn't count.  If the water had been in the bowl for more than 10 minutes, they wanted nothing to do with it.  I had to wash their bowl a dozen times a day - literally - and I never felt like they were getting enough water.  So, I decided to...” --Alicia88

Ceramic Cat Fountain, handmade

Ceramic Cat Fountain, handmade

“this comes from thirsty cat fountains, a small shop that sells single pieces, so you won't be able to buy the exact same one (ha! mine). But, that said, they have a lot of beautiful single pieces. What can I say. I've wanted this for a long time... it's absolutely beautiful. It ships with a lot of biodegradable peanuts that the Rogue wanted to eat. I had him sticking his tongue in the minute I...” --roguethecat

“I purchased this fountain as I needed something my youngest kitty couldn't knock over, and was reasonably priced. This fit the bill, so I ordered it. I am glad I did! I really love this fountain. After staring at it for a while to figure out its threat level both of my kitties took to it pretty quickly, youngest took to it TOO much at first as she had a couple of times where she drank so much...” --Jezahb

Drinkwell 360 Pet Fountain

“Our big boy loves his tub time playing and drinking under a dripping faucet, but he loves the running , filtered water from the stainless Drinkwell 360. When we first set it up, he laid next to it and draped his front leg around the edge, saying, " Well, of COURSE this is mine..!!" Keeps the water cool and filtered, but you don't Have to use the filter if you don't choose to. We quite enjoy the...” --molly grue

“I just bought this fountain and set it up today. It's very light. I'm not crazy about the stainless steel, but the store didn't have it in ceramic.   There aren't many pieces to it, and it's easy to assemble. No nooks and crannies to worry about when cleaning.   Very quiet when in use. ” --Natalie_ca

“ I highly recommend this fountain, especially if you have multiple cats.  it is attractive, works well, and cats (or at least mine) love it.  if you have only a single cat, you may prefer the smaller pioneer pet raindrop fountain ( which is only half the cost) to this one, but both are excellent.   A few pro tips with it:   -if your cat bites the cord, use a product...” --Sargon

Petmate Fresh Flow Pet Fountain, Medium, Bleached Linen

“One of my three cats has a history of urinary obstructions, so I had to buy a water fountain. I bought this and the Drinkwell 360 when he had his first blockage. This is hard plastic and gave all three cats chin acne. It was loud and didn't hold much water. Cleaning it was a pain because the part where the water flows down has crevices that are hard to get to. The fountain became very slimy in...” --molldee
