Pros: long lasting, good odor protection, lightweight, good clumping
Cons: tracks all over the house, expensive
I live in the city where it is difficult for me to buy cat litter and haul it home. This is my litter of choice because the 10 pound bag lasts us forever, up to two and a half months. Clumps do not frequently break and clean litter easily falls away, which means less total litter changeovers. The litter's mild scent is very effective at covering up the smell of urine, which is a priority for me in my small apartment. Additionally, it is almost completely dust-free, which is again important to me because of my cat's allergies.
Besides the slightly higher cost, the disadvantage of this litter is that my cat manages to track it all over the apartment. While the litter is dust-free, the particles are themselves texturally similar to sand and I have to sweep almost every day. However, with the right mat and a high-sided box, I'm sure this could be mitigated.
For my house, the tradeoffs weigh in favor of this litter.
