How much to feed maine coon

He's on whiskers kitten food right now and the breeder told me that because they develop so slowly, it's best to keep them on kitten for for up to 3 years, as opposed to a regular kitten who only typically has it for a year. He isn't fat.....yet. But he is a HUGE kitten. At only 6 months old he...

    breeders of orange cats

It's the same with people with ginger hair, we don't call it red hair. If you say that, people think you literally mean red, as in dyed pillar box red

    He Doesn't Meow

My maine coon very rarely meows, which is common for the breed. He will only meow at meal times and even then it's a feeble sort of chirp rather than a meow. My little DSH yowls all the time though.

    stop tree climbing??

I do believe indoor outdoor cats are healthier too. Obviously only if they're properly vaccinated and neutered before being let out. You cannot put a blanket statment on something like this and say ALL indoor cats are healtheir than ALL outdoor ones, because THAT is without a doubt not true...

    breeders of orange cats

I still find the term 'orange' to be odd. Here in the UK, they're called 'ginger' cats, or 'red' cats. If you said to someone in the UK 'I just saw an orange cat!' they'd look at you like you were balmy!

How much to feed maine coon

My maine coon kitten Toby is 5-6 months old now and heeats HUGE amounts. I know they generally eat more than a normal cat anyway, and particularly while growing, but I don't know where to draw the line at enough food and too much, since it's a bad thing for these cats to get overweight. He has...

    my new cat

Hard to say without knowing a bit of background on the cat. My kitten will give me 'love bites' when he's being overly affactionate. He'll be purring, kneading his paws etc then he'll give me a nip on the chin or face, not hard though and definately not as an aggressive thing. Maybe thats what...

    stop tree climbing??

Im afraid this is a matter of opinion. I believe they are happier and healthier OUTSIDE, all my cats are indoor/outdoor and always will be. So you see it goes both ways and it's not really fair to just throw 'keep them indoors' at anyone who has a cat problem. It's often not the answer. If this...

    Whining kitten

I have a kitten called Basil who is around 4-5 months old. He came from a shelter where he was brought in as a stray with his mother, no brothers or sisters. Because he was so young when we got him (around 7 weeks) he's always been a very clingy kitten, he hated being alone and would cry if no...

    tags even for indoors?

Would this sort of collar prevent what happened to my cat though? The one we had was elastic so once he'd gotten his bottom jaw under it, it retracted back and pressed down on his tongue. I would like to have some sort of visible ID for my cats, just for the first few weeks that they go outside...

    tags even for indoors?

I really don't like collars at all. When I got my first ever kitten, we put a collar and tag on him as you do, and one night he ended up getting his bottom jaw under it and it sprang back and pressed on his tongue so by morning he was in a right state. Since then, I've never used a collar. My...

    My two boys!

Trust me, my rats tails is almost as big as my cat's. Sometimes I wonder if he might not be a coypu.

    My two boys!

These are my two kittens, Basil and Toby. Toby is a blue and White Maine Coon and is around 5 months old. Basil is your run of the mill black and white moggy who I got from a rescue center. He was brought in as a stray with his mother when he was only 6 weeks old. Basil Toby The last one...

    Micro Chipping?

Im getting both of mine chipped soon since they are indoor/outdoor. Though my past cats have never been chipped and none of them have ever gotten lost or wandered anyway, so it's probably unecessary for me, but Im going to do it now just in case. Back when my other cats were kittens, a good 15...
