It is much better now, they are starting to get along, theres still some skuffles now and again, but at least I can let the 2 of them wander the house without thinking one will end up missing an ear. I agree with all of the answers, Mugs and otis are finally able to be in the same room and not fight, Otis is eating again and touring the house like he always has. I feed them in seperate rooms, but at the same time so they both get full at once and dont want the others food. They still wrestle...

I can tell you this, take orange peels and rub them along the bottom of the sofa, or along the arms, the cats will AVOID it 100% as far as the smell, Im not sure ,can you take the covers off the cushions? if its in the foam you have a problem for sure....

Im dealing with the same thing, I leave Mugs"the new cat but older" in the bedroom with his food and litter box, When I get home I let him out and watch them. Mugs is bigger by 2 times, but Otis is a killer and a little crazy. If things get nasty I'll put Otis in the Bedroom and let Mugs...

Sounds like hes a little undone from being in a new place. You might have to leave him be for a while and let him approach you when hes ready. As far as the infection, it was an almost infection? or full blown? You may just be allergic to his saliva. Hes up to date on his shots? Is he crazy...

Otis does this all the time, he also likes to stretch out and bend backwards with his belly out, he does it so far he looks like a horse shoe... its hilarious!
