Update! I've managed to put the kitten back up to it's den. The mum cat is elsewhere at the moment, but I'm hoping she'll shortly return to the den and happily find her kitten snug inside the pleats on the roof. Thanks so much for your support you two!

I've raised cats before so I know how to care for them; however, these kittens are really young and the mum lives right on my storage shed so it would be a bit unkind to separate them at such a small distance

That's what I thought of doing next. Thing is, the kitten snuck into a corner I can't reach, and the mum cat is laying there passively guarding it. How should I lure the kitten out in case the mum cat goes away? And if she doesn't go away, how do I approach them?

This is very urgent, if anyone knows about cat behavior or had similar experiences please help. I didn't see a rule about bumping in the forum rules page.
