    The neverending flea dramas continue

Ah, thank you, and one of my friends has a stepdad who owns a farm supply store so I will definately ask him! One thing that is encouraging is that recently when I've run the flea comb through my girls, most of the fleas are dead or sluggish, a couple of days ago there were still a fair number...

    The neverending flea dramas continue

I did bathe them before applying the Advantage, and it's been about 1 week since I applied it. One huge problem is I live in a hot and humid climate, so while they stay indoors, many homes here have problems with pest control.

    The neverending flea dramas continue

Wow, ok, I guess the question now is how long does Advantage generally atek to work? And I looked for Diametecous(sp?) Earth at a local store but couldn't find it. That's scary about the Hartz spray almost killing your baby, thank god you caught that in time! If I can't find DE anywhere(which...

    The neverending flea dramas continue

I treated the carpets with Hartz spray, bought the Advantage at a vet, bathed the cats in Sergeant's Flea and Tick Shampoo, and put them in the garage at my mother's house while I flea bombed the place. I basically did everything recommended to me when I posted a thread on here and asked around...

    The neverending flea dramas continue

Ok, so I've flea bombed my house, vacuumed and treated all of the carpets, flea bathed my girls, even bought Advantage to put on both of my girls. Yet, still, I ran the comb through one of them today to make sure the Advantage is working, and it's not, there are still lots of fleas on her. So...

    Neverending flea dramas, help please!!!!

It wasn't Advantage, though I've been tempted to try this. Would you guys say I might as well just throw out the flea collars? I've thought too about getting my place professionally exterminated but I've been worried about the cost, though this may be a good use of my school money when it...

    Neverending flea dramas, help please!!!!

I started noticing fleas on my kitten, Giselle, about a month ago. I bought some formula that you put between her shoulder blades, I thought they went away, but I think they must have only killed the adults and not the eggs. I put some on Anya my other kitty as well, but didn't think I saw any...

Cat punishes me by peeing on my bed. :-(

I had this same problem with a cat of mine, Sebastian, who I miss dearly. He had urinary difficulties throughout his life, then when he was 5 he died suddenly of kidnay failure. When I soke to the vet who tried to save him, they said that his potassium levels are throughout the roof. Please...

How do I litterbox-train my girl?

Hello, I have just gotten the sweetest, most adorable girl possible, Anya. The big problem is that because Anya is a year and a half old and had never been indoors untill I got her, I am having trouble getting her to use her litterbox consistantly, I am so sure that the problem is she has...

Help me, there's blood in my new kitty's poo!

Well, the latest is that I've just woken up and now what she's passed looks like a combination of runny with a bit of solid in there, and she has had a bit of her medication. Hopefully this is progress, but please if you're reading this tell me if you think it's otherwise. In any case, when...

Help me, there's blood in my new kitty's poo!

Oh it's very easy to panic with a new cat, and I do get even more paranoid as my last cat, Sebastian, who is nothing short of an absolute legend, passed away just over a year ago from kidney failure, and it came on very quickly. Which makes having a new cat scary.

Help me, there's blood in my new kitty's poo!

Just tried calling the ER and it's a system where there's a receptionist always there but they don't page the vet in untill he's needed So can't do a consult, but for now I'm tapping as many peoples' brains as possible and so far it looks as if she needs to go to the vet but isn't in grave...

Help me, there's blood in my new kitty's poo!

It really wouldn't surprise me if she does have worms, this happened once with another cat I adopted from the country when I was a kid. Though anything is possible, she is a year and a half old and has yet to be spayed, and I really do hope that these problems will be over once I have her...

Help me, there's blood in my new kitty's poo!

I just got a cat, Anya, she's a year and a half old, and she doesn't have bowel control, all of her stools have been runny and diareaha-like, and I've found a tiny amount of blood in her stools. I bought some Pro-Pet Roundworm Liquid De-Wormer, as she was an outdoor only cat untill I got her...
