Diagnosis changed to small cell lymphoma of the intestines :\

Dr says it looks like low grade intestinal lymphoma. He's still there finishing his biopsies and we'll have to wait until the results are sent out and back to be sure. Does anyone have any experience with this disease?

Do you treat (vet) your feral/semi-ferals?

We still have this boy. He has his own bedroom with climbing towers and furniture and cozy bed. He was diagnosed as FIV positive and about 6 years old. We had him-====== neutered and he had some difficulties, but he pulled through. He spent the first two months hiding and being completely shut...

cat with renal disease suddenly lost most of his teeth

Sorry I haven't responded, we had to discontinue our internet to try to pay for more vet care. But, I'm back temporarily. All in all he lost most of his teeth. He has two canines in the very front left, there is one molar in the back that I thought was gone, but is still hanging on, and a...

cat with renal disease suddenly lost most of his teeth

He's 9 and was tentatively diagnosed with renal disease about a month and a half ago. His blood levels were normal, but he has small kidneys, had blood in his urine, and has been steadily losing weight and my vet felt that was enough for a diagnosis. He's currently on Hills K/D kibble that we...

One of my semi-ferals was in a fight :(

He came home last night for dinner with a limp and a squinted eye, but he left soon after. Poor guy. I spotted the little guy late yesterday afternoon and pointed him out to my boyfriend and he says it's one of the first guys we neutered in last years TNR. I do remember a black long haired cat...

One of my semi-ferals was in a fight :(

I have one left outside that is semi-feral. He never leaves my lot and is the only one who has ever used any of the snow houses I set up for them in the winter. He's a huge black tabby and he was neutered and ear tipped last fall. He's still terrified of me when he can see my face, but if I walk...

Thin cat wont gain back weight

We got him to another new vet today and she's tentatively diagnosed him with renal disease. He had new blood work and a combo test and everything was normal again, but she said his kidneys felt small for his body size. She did a urine draw and found blood in his urine. So along with his steady...

Do you treat (vet) your feral/semi-ferals?

Thanks for the response, he's since gone twice and seems to know what to do. He's also done a sudden switch and is rubbing on my legs and reacting to being pet and drools when given cheek rubs. Right now he's in the bathroom yodeling and two of my inside cats are sitting at the door watching his...

Do you treat (vet) your feral/semi-ferals?

How long should I wait before becoming concerned about him not going potty yet?

    Food for gaining weight?

I need help finding a food for an older male cat that will help him gain weight. We currently feed him a mix of Innova wet food with Fromm's duck kibble and I spread a layer of Zuke's chicken treats over the top. I've been playing with mixing in an 1/10 of a cup of Science diet's urinary track...

Do you treat (vet) your feral/semi-ferals?

I'm sort of leaning towards getting him ear tipped regardless of how social he becomes before his appointment just because of his physical appearance. If some point in his next few years he is an outside cat again he will always look like a tom cat and a tip will be the easiest way to let other...

Do you treat (vet) your feral/semi-ferals?

We got him in and he did actually did really really well. The vet gave him an antibiotic injection, a pain killer injection, a dose of revolution, and some eye drops that I'm supposed to try to give him three times a day over the next week. We're due back when the eye drops are finished and...

Do you treat (vet) your feral/semi-ferals?

One of my semi-feral boys showed up this morning with quite a few wounds and a severe limp, the worst I've had to personally deal with. It looks like a dog got him. He's currently in a kennel in my bathroom with an appointment for 45 minutes from now at my vet. I don't entirely know what to do...

Thin cat wont gain back weight

I know this was posted forever ago, but I figured I'd reply again. We took him back in and had him wormed. He was given two worming pills, one of which the Dr couldn't get him to swallow before it mostly dissolved. We didn't notice any change in weight and we took him back a few weeks later and...

How do you find homes for your strays/ferals?

I have several that I will need to place over the next few months and I'm at the very beginning stage of the search for homes. We managed to find homes for most of a family of strays last year, but we still have two of the original seven. This next batch will be much much harder because they are...
