Hi all. So an update on Sabboth. I made an appointment in August for a dental veterinarian. I had to have him examined by a cardiologist first...he passed with flying colors. His dental appointment was for October. He has had no flare ups since July. I decided to hold off on the dental...
Update: Sabboth has recently had bad flare ups of his stomatitis. Like, screaming out in pain bad. So I took him to the emergency vet who prescribed gabapentin (sp?) and an antibiotic. She recommends teeth extraction. She said the fang teeth are especially bad. So I am making an...
Hello. My cat, Sabboth, was diagnosed with stomatitis several years ago. He has had antibiotics and steroids on a few occasions to help with flare ups. At the beginning of the year he had an especially bad flare up. His vet recommended a dental cleaning and he went in for his appointment...
Hello. My cat has allergies as well. Scratches a lot. My vet said she doesn't think its food related and could be chronic? I feel so bad for him and I dont know what to do. Twice now she has given him a shot of anti-inflammatory and antibiotics, but he gets really snotty and lethargic for...
First, I want to thank everyone for their advice and good wishes. Unfortunately, Parker crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. I know he and all my other pets that have gone before me are sitting in my mom's lap, waiting til they see me again. Thanks again everyone.
My Cat, Sabboth, drools. He has since I rescued him from a shelter. My vet diagnosed him with stomatitis...a mild form of it. I would have your vet check him.
Parker's bloodwork came back. All his blood counts have come back down. She did an xray. His intestines are swollen. I don't think she did a fecal yet to see if it's parasites. I will find that out tomorrow. If the fecal comes back good, it is probably IBD. He is too weak to do an...
I scrambled an egg for him this morning. He wanted nothing to do with it but he also wanted nothing to do with salmon either. I will go to Petco after work and look for the products mentioned. I am also calling my vet again and asking about his teeth. If I don't get a response I am satisfied...
He will eat cooked salmon, but I am afraid to give him a lot because of the possibility of urinary crystals. I know the vet checked his teeth...i was there when he did the exam. But Parker's normal vet was away and he was checked by a different one. I could try scrambled eggs...he has a dry...
Hi. My 13 year old cat, Parker, has been having some issues. He lost 4 pounds in about 2 months. Got very lethargic and started hiding. Took him to the vet and they kept him 2 days. Gave him antibiotics and fluids. Says Parkers white blood count was off the charts but nothing else really...
I am not knowledgeable on this subject whatsoever but are you sure the peeing and pooping are not a sign of something more serious? Meowing constantly could be a sign of another issue? I know they mask their illnesses well....i would have her checked for other problems. Bloodwork? None was...
I feed my cats Canadae but only because one of them has poultry and dairy allergies. They like it. I feed them Merrick canned food which gets good reviews and they like it too. Grain free of course. Hope this helps.
I rescued a cat that had been run over by a car. He always walked "a certain way" but it never bothered him....he just compensated. Is there a possibility that ur cat always walked this way but was not noticed until his recent injury? Just a thought. Good luck with your kitty.
