    Fleas - what works in your area?

    I live in Minnesota. The vets prescribe Revolution at my vet places for flea protection. My Grayson is doing a 3 month series- he developed itchiness in May but no fleas discovered just doing it to be extra cautious. most likely has allergies.

    Indoors or Outdoors?

    I keep my Grayson exclusively indoors. I just think there are too many dangers outside- other animals, cars, mites/ticks, other things that cause infection or injuries. I just get mad inside when I hear coworkers talk about letting their cats outdoors and how they're gone for a long time so...

    Allergies....

    My cat Grayson started scratching in May. He doesn't have any redness or sores so that's great. I did the allergy serology recently and he is positive for dust mite and storage mite allergies. We saw a pet dermatologist who gave a couple treatment options. I don't know what the right approach...

    We saw a vet once already. Only mentioned ear wax when he looked inside Grayson's ears. Still monitoring and in touch with our main vet and I'm guessing it has to be allergy but it's really bothering me. Want him healthy and happy. We are in the Midwest and summer has finally arrived.

    My cat Grayson has been scratching a lot lately. It's all in the head region. Mostly ears (esp right), sometimes chin/neck, once in awhile face. There is no visible skin lesions or redness.     Yellow Eye gunk after naps.

    My Grayson recently had some green oozing from his left eye. Our vet says most likely it's herpes for him and we are doing some eye drops as well as lysine supplements. See what your vet says. Anything with the eye needs to be checked out.

    Dental Health

    Do you brush your kitty's teeth? or use a oral rinse? Or go to the vet for full cleaning? my Grayson has some plaque it appears and we are gonna attempt this brushing thing so we'll see how it goes. not too successful thus far. but we will keep trying.

    Hello from Grayson's Mama!

    Hello! My Grayson is just over 2 years old. I adopted in January of 2012 from a shelter. He brings so much joy to my life! We lost his adopted brother Huck this past December at just 8 months old to FIP. I've been extra spoiling Grayson since.
