Actually, white reflects light and heat...black absorbs light and heat. I thought water, at first, but that doesn't make sense. another possible was bleach, but that's rubbish, too. So it's the sun, maybe...but that doesn't really fit. I dunno! This is hard...and it's driving me crazy, now.

Yeah, Gem hasn't pushed anyone away or acted as if she were in pain, but when I saw how red some of them were, and a little big of skin was hanging off of one (bloody little vultures... ) I just got a little freaked. *sighs* I'm paranoid, is all. Thanks!
