    Sentry Calming Collar

I have tried the feliway collars, too.  I didn't see that much change, although I did see a bigger change than the other brands.  I am using the Comfort Zone with feliway plug-ins and have had amazing results.  There is no smell and they last for 30 days.  After you purchase the plug-in (comes...

    Sentry Calming Collar

I am glad to hear that someone had good luck with these collars.  I didn't see any change at all.  Although, I did try the plug-in kind and did see a difference!  A can't remember the product name, but I will search it and post it as soon as possible!  It is expensive, but well worth it.

Don't know what to do, feeding many ferals/strays, it's out of control!!!! I need advice!

It seems the shelters are full everywhere!  I was told there are no-kill shelters that actually transport animals to other states, in an effort to save their lives.  Ask a lot of questions before dropping them off at any shelter because I was also told that even the no-kill shelters are forced...

    My cat died- few questions

I am so sorry about the loss of your pet.  It is terrible to see an animal in pain and suffering.  Of all the vets I have ever used, all have shown a great compassion for the well being of animals, trying to control their pain and suffering to the best of their ability.  Once the pain is beyond...

    Vet pushing Science Diet

I had to change to Science Diet for Tiger, too.  I had no choice, due to food allergies.  He vomited after eating it and then wouldn't touch it.  I had to gradually reintroduce him to it by adding a little bit to his "old" food each day.  It took a couple of weeks to transfer to 100% Science...

Getting My Cats To Eat Wet Food !

I have had the same trouble!  Tiger, my 3 yr old cat, has severe food allergies!  I must limit the ingredients and stick to one flavor...chicken is the only one he will eat, and it must be the Fancy Feast "gravy lovers."  I have tried the regular chicken and he turns his nose up, refusing to eat...

How do YOU get your lazy cat to exercise?

Started with one crunched up piece of paper.  I tossed it, got down on my hands and knees, fetched it myself, brought it back to Tiger and placed it at his feet.  I did this over and over again...hundreds of times.  Finally, one night while I was asleep, he jumped on the bed and placed the...

Unable to trim "wild" cats nails!

WOW! Thanks...I thought you HAD to do this! Tiger sheds his nails and I just thought that was due to lack of trimming! Other than daily scratches from playing, I have no complaints! Will do.

New to caring for a stray/feral and second-guessing myself and need some encouragement and support

Hang in there! You have several options. I too, have taken in several strays over the years, most ending up with problems...which could account for them being strays in the first place.  My son took in a kitten that was abandoned by her mother (refused to feed her kitten).  He already had 2...

Unable to trim "wild" cats nails!

I have a "wild" cat when it comes to trimming nails...always ends with blood (MINE).  He senses the "clippers" from a distance and hides.  I've tried to clip one nail at a time while he is asleep, but he jumps out of his skin the minute he feels the slightest touch to his paw and is gone!  He...

How do YOU get your lazy cat to exercise?

My cat, Tiger, a 3yr. old "non-domestic" cat, plays fetch! It took a while to train him.  I crunch up small balls of paper and throw them all over the house :) He runs like crazy, retrieves them, and drops them at my feet to throw again :) It is the only way I can get him to exercise!
