    Two new babies = havoc

Yesterday, I got two new kittens. They're twins, almost identical. One's called Milo and the other is Chester. Their markings are peachy ginger with dark stripes and spots with white socks, tummies and chests. Milo has a big white smudge on his nose and Chester just has a little stripe. My...

    Taking big steps now!

Aww, they are too adorable! Congrats on getting them to this stage. I could NEVER do it.

    Miss You, Esme

Thank you to everyone. She's the second cat we've lost on three months. I guess that now we're feeling the bad side of getting 7 cats in the space of 8 years.

Is calling a cat Fatty offensive?

I don't think that Fatty is offensive, well not to the cat anyway. I have a cat called Poppy who is rather... Curvy, shall we say. We tend to call her Piggy or the equivalent quite a lot. It's all in good humor, so I think as long as a name like that isn't mean maliciously, then it's okay.

Anyone else with a "crazy" vet?

Wow, I'm glad I don't go to that vet. I'd be constantly stiffling my giggles! My vet is a little odd, but in a wonderful way. He's called Rob and what makes him odd is that he has a true connection with animals. They all just adore him, no matter what age or species. And I must say, I...

What do you do to keep your house cool in the summer?

We tend to just keep the doors open because we're on top of a hill so we have a nice breeze through the house. But sometimes when it's really hot we have to use the AC. We dont have central AC because we'd rarely use it, but we have a unit which is about two feet high, sits in the corner and...

    Miss You, Esme

Thank you. The vet was wonderful with her and told us that we were doing that was best for her. I'm happy that our particular vet was the last person she saw. He was rather gorgeous and wonderful and in love with my cat <3

Thanks, I appreciate your condolences. (: I may sound like such a newbie, but where would be the best place to post pictures of my cats? :S

    Miss You, Esme

Thank you. I needed that reassurance. I think that whenever you put a cat to sleep, there's always that nagging doubt in your head that they could have been saved. And she was beautiful. Except for when she drooled like a faucet. Always did, since she was a kitten.

Hi everyone (: Newbie from London

Hi guys, my name's Sophie, I'm 16 and I live in London. At the beginning of 2009, I had 7 cats. Brothers Barney and Charlie, ginger soppy idiot Alfie, Derrick the hunter, pretty little Esme, Poppy who is pretty much a tank with legs, and Oscar, the most stroppy five year old you'll ever meet...

    Miss You, Esme

We lost our beautiful little girl Esme today. She's not been herself recently, holding her head funny, not eating, drinking a lot. So yesterday we took her to the vet. He said that she had an irrengularly shaped and enlarged kidney, and said he thought he could feel some kind of growth. He...
