    Crystals in urine

Thank you for your response. I will keep checking with the vet. Right now he is on Methigel for 2 tubes only. When those are gone I will check again with the vet.

    Crystals in urine

He has never had it before. You said stress can contribute to the crystals? We moved a year ago. He became a totally indoor cat then because of the traffic where we live now. We also adopted a kitten last summer. Until we moved he rarely used a litter box, he went outside to use the...

    Crystals in urine

Ace seems to be doing a little bit better. He is enjoying the attention he is getting. He is the only one allowed to sleep on the bed with us. The others are locked out of the bedroom because we have to watch his litter box to make sure he is going to the bathroom. Thanks for all the prayers...

    Crystals in urine

We just got back from the vet. They gave Ace some more antibiotics for a week. More Methagel and an anti spasm pill. The vet thinks he is still having spasms from the crystals.

    Pregnant Cat myths or truth??

One thing I noticed with our cat when she was ready, was that she stopped eating and found ME so I would be there with her. As a matter of fact she got very upset if I left her. She had them in the bathtub of all places. I put down extra thick towels and a sheet so she wouldn't get cold. I...

How young do they start to spray?

We had Ace nuetered at 12 weeks and he was this tiny little thing. He was the runt of the litter, I had to keep rubbing him to keep him awake enough to eat, was touch and go for about 3 hours. Now he is the largest cat we have(3 females, 2 males). All muscle and long hair he weighs in at 20...

Possible misdiagnosis for hairloss and scabbing?

Is your cat an indoor only? The reason I ask is we have a cat who was bitten by a spider, snake or something else that caused a reaction like you have described. We never did find out what had bitten her. Just doctored her and she eventually healed. Vet wanted to put her down, we refused and...

    Strange kitty habits

Kitten, our oldest turning 14 this spring, loves water also. She will sit by the bathroom sink till someone turns on the tap for her. Also, refuses to drink out of the community water bowl....has to have her water in a GLASS, not just any glass, has to be a christmas glass with teddy bears on...

My cat is waking us up before the alarm!

Carole, I am new here but know exactly what you are going through. My parents live 2 doors up and since Ace(my 3 year old black longhair) was a baby(Ace was the runt of the litter) Dad has called him for breakfast every morning. Dad gets up at 6am everyday. I used to work nights, not pleasant...

    Should cats eat "people food?"

Can cats inherit a craving for certain foods? We have 5 cats, 4 belong to the same lineage. They all LOVE bread! If we leave the room for more a second with bread out it disappears. Doesn't matter if it is biscuits, french bread, etc. As long as it is bread they eat it.
