Putting your cat in the dryer...

Just offering a little bit of Dream Analysis for you! Being that you are dreaming of your cat (which is important to you), you are conscience of how much they mean to you. Being that you heard that it was good to put him in the dryer and that you actually tried it (though, by putting him in...

    Cats and Thunderstorms

What part of Indiana? I'm in Central (just south of Indianapolis) and had a thunderstorm here, lightning lighting up the sky like daylight! It was beautiful to watch. Since it was such a mild night, I had the window open. I saw the lightning and kept the window open as it wasn't raining...

Radio question for the day: 03/31/05

I haven't, no. Now I have a perfect joke that was played on my Mom by my Dad about 7 years ago. Dad at the time was riding a Honda 750 Custom. Nice bike, but it was a smaller bike than his previous bike (Honda GoldWing, saddlebags and all). Well he had stopped by to buy Mom some flowers...

    What's for dinner?

For dinner tonight I made Potato Salad, Deviled Eggs and Chicken Fingers. My Chicken Fingers are strips of chicken, dipped in an egg wash, then in flour, then in Frank's Red Hot, then in flour again and fried. Oh so very tasty!

    The Esoteric Philosophy Thread

I wouldn't say he's strongly influenced, no. He does subscribe to the theory of Self and it is through Self that we can live. Siddhartha, Demian, Steppenwolf all have that aspect to it...Suffering to achieve Self. Out of those three, I prefered Steppenwolf, then Siddhartha, then Demian being...

    The Esoteric Philosophy Thread

Some of his works. Speaking of authors -- I am actually partial to Herr Hesse. He's influenced by Nietzsche and I find his writings to be quite remarkable.

    The Esoteric Philosophy Thread

*laughing* To be quite honest I don't know much about him. I've read a little, those quotes, and that's about it. I do like what I have read so far. I am actually new to the Philosophy scene though I'm very Philosophical. I just have never truly been inspired to read Philosophers.

    The Esoteric Philosophy Thread

Nietzsche. Heinlein is good too. (http://www.geocities.com/fleembit/qu...arus_Long.html) My boyfriend is a Philosophy Grad Student - the house is FULL of Philosophy books. Right now, his classes are focused on Nietzsche and C.S. Peirce.

    Most common vents for you

Do what my Aunt used to do... when the guy in the apartment got too loud, she'd bang the boomstick against the ceiling.

    Most common vents for you

Venting or the Fine Art of Complaining for the sake of Complaining. I try to keep my vents to paper or to my blogs (I have quite a few...!). I can and DO complain about many things, but usually just a "I wish...blah blah... okay, I'm done, back to life..." sort of thing. Clean, simple, get...

    Show Your Lamp Shade Kitties

Archimedes loves to stand up against the lamp and stick his head in as far as he can reach. He's only there for a few moments as the light is too bright. ROFL
