So quick update... the catheter came out Thursday and as soon as that happened he moving about so much he tore his IV out, so the vet decided to see how he'd do over night with just the sub-q fluids, and apparently he did well because his blood work was normal Friday morning and he filled the...
It's not the vet's job to enforce the law, that is reserved for animal care and control. Nor is it their job to enforce licensing (tho some vets will submit applications on your behalf with your proof of rabies). Any fines or warnings about not being vaccinated will come from the state (ACC), so...
We are almost 48 hours post blockage and his numbers are still high. BUN is 156, creatinine 8, and ptassium is 8. Still blood in his urine but he's not passing clots anymore. He ate today and is moving about his crate and trying to lick the catheter, so he's perking up. They still aren't sure of...

Meant to add that I'm open to suggestions on food brands. He'll go home with stuff from the
Vet (can't remember the name), but for long term preventative food, I'd like to hear what everyone else has been successful with.
Thanks for all the kind words. This forum rocks!
I have 3 cats (5 actually but the other two live in our office/shop now) and they all share boxes, so I'm going to have to separate him so I can be sure that what I'm seeing is actually his. Plus he's going to need special food for a week or two, and then different food for the indefinite future...
So I called the clinic 5 minutes before they closed and the front desk girl told me they'd be there for a while as they still had other emergencies they were working on but the doctor would call in 15-20 minutes. I laid on the bed and basically cried myself to sleep until I woke up in a panic at...
