Need to trim claws of feral kitten who likes to bite and claw ME

Rescued a feral kitten who had been dropped off last summer. She's probably nearly a year old now, has been in the house about 4 mo. She doesn't distinguish between biting and clawing a toy, and my hand. She's fixed, had all her shots, in process of cleaning her ears, progressively. Not easy...

Moving 1600 miles with 2 older cats

I'm writing this for my cousin who is about to drive her 2 older rescued cats from MA to NM. Same issues--wants to keep them safe and not let them overheat or escape. She's found a playpen with a zip-on top that she can keep them in, litter, water, food and beds, and just lift it in the motel...

Hello--2 resident cats resisting half-feral female

She's a bit loopy in the pain med which is every 8 hr. for 2 more days. She'll get an anti-inflammatory med. once dailly for 2 more days, also. She's eating and purring, but sleeping lots, also.  I provoked that bite by taking one more stroke with the comb after she warned me she didn't want me...

    Help needed again please!

I bought some of the "dollar store" cheap cat food, and the strays wouldn't eat it, either. When I checked the protein, there was very little in that cheap dry food. Switched to Purina cat chow, and it goes quickly. I guess squirrels and voles have the protein they needed, but not my cat food!

Hello--2 resident cats resisting half-feral female

My husband and I have 2 cats, aged about 8, and we're taking in a female dropped off in the neighborhood with her brother several months ago. Kept trying to find someone to adopt them, and finally, in self-defence, since my cats occasionally do get out and were fighting with the strays, I've had...

Need to Comb Out Our New Cat But She's Still Not Settled In

Our new feral/pet is long-haired, and she loves to be combed, but it has to be in her own time. When she jumps in my lap, in any place I occasionally sit, I have a comb or brush there. In your case, some of the good, sharp scissors from a craft shop would be good to have by your favorite chair...

Introducing feral cat and kitten to resident cats.

Thanks much for your encouragement and suggestions. Two kittens were dropped in our neighborhood last summer. They've been gentled by neighbor children, and I've been feeding them. They've caught many voles, squirrels, but were not fixed or immunized. Finally I took the male to the mobile vet...
