    All suggestions for hairballs...

I changed Bling's diet to Eagle Pack Hairball formula. He was throwing up about every couple of weeks and hasn't thrown up since - it apparently helps the cats eliminate it via the back end if you know what i mean!

    cat birthday cake & carob?

Hi everyone, It's Bling's 1st birthday this weekend - i am looking for a cat birthday cake and I am wondering if it is safe (though not healthy long term!) to give him a cat birthday cake that includes carob? I know he shouldn't have chocolate but there are these dog cakes with carob and I am...

    Inappropriate poo-ing - theories?

Hello My 9 month old, Bling, has just started pooing in the bath tub 3 days ago. We haven't changed litter and I clean it daily. It's really strange. He shares the litter box with my other cat but he's never had a problem before. And he's still peeing in his litter box (located next to the bath...

    ragdolls - correct weight range?

Hello I have two ragdoll kittens - one is male, 7 months and 5.3kg (approx 11.6pounds) and the other is female, 6 months and 3.7kg (approx 8.1 pounds). I'm wondering if they're in the correct weight range for their age? I know they're big cats by breed but the male in particular seems quite...

    Adolescent cats?

My two kittens should, by my calculations, be going through adolescence right now. I've read lots about adolescent felines being more rough in play and generally going a bit more nuts and crazy at night time. At the same time I've read about urine marking and spraying. My question is, if my cats...

    Anyone's cat "sleep talks" ??

How cute!!!!!! Sparkles has a habit of choosing spots at an angle so she slides off in her sleep and lands bump on the floor!! Thanks everyone for your help!

    Is she getting enough nutrients?

No luck with trying to add just a touch of water to the dry food? I do that and they lap up the water then nibble the food.... Sparkles is very fussy with what wet food she eats and I put both Sparkles and Bling on to Eagle Pack wet. I tried for about 3 days then gave up putting it out for them...

    Anyone's cat "sleep talks" ??

Oooohhh, sleeping with the eyes open! Now that would freak me out... I guess I'm hoping he's just having lots of exciting dreams involving mice and birds then ! Good to know a couple of other cats do the same thing though

    advice-poo stuck on sunni's butt!

I had the same problem. It is MUCH better now I had the cats clipped around the area but still happens on occasion .... I found Petkin make a nice "wet ones" type of "Tushie Wipes"- safe for cats and has a nice smell to it. I use that to wipe anything off their hair, but yeah - they don't...

    Anyone's cat "sleep talks" ??

No not yet. I wasn't sure if it was anything to worry about. He's quite a "panty" kitten - there's always a sigh and wheezing so I figured it was normal but now he's started the sleep "talking" too.... so I thought I'd find out if other cats did this too! Thanks for the reply! PS. Rosie and...

    Anyone's cat "sleep talks" ??

Bling has just recently started to do a strange thing where he "talks" while asleep.... it's not really a meow, more of a strange beeping noise /vocal sigh. Just wondering if anyone else's cat/s do this ???? He does wheeze after playing and sometimes (without playing) just collapses on the...

    Cat Sneezing

My vet said it is likely to be allergens if the kittens / cats are eating, playing and pooping as normal. My two kittens both kept sneezing when I got them. It seemed allergens was likely as they both were sneezing but came from different litters... so I got a dyson HEPA vacuum and we used it...

    Sticky Paws

Hi Greg I would suggest that your best option is to continue to train the kitten to not scratch at the furniture. She is young so should be very trainable at present. One tip I've read that has served me well is to have a couple of good scratching posts about and have one near their favourite...
