I have often wondered this too. Especially after the cat food brand I use, raised prices on their cat food only. Also, many stores do not carry near as much cat food choices at dog food. It's very frustrating.

Antibiotics usually are given in the duration of about 14 days. At least in my experience. It is very important to get kitty retested to see what her pH levels, WBC and RBC counts are. Your vet should know when it's best to do this. But if kitty seems sicker, I would definitely call the vet...
