Thanks!  I started fostering 2 tuxedo kittens (not related, but bonded) and ended up adopting both!  :) Those are great ideas!  I'll try them all!  Thanks!  He's 4 months old, so we have a while to go.  I haven't found his teeth yet!  The other girl is about 6 months old, and she never had any...

    Help with kitten teething!

I have a kitten that is going through a major teething phase.  I've never had a kitten have it this bad before. He chews on our fingers, clothes, cords, shoes, etc.  It's like I have a puppy.  At night, he will wake us up by chewing on our fingers, my hair or biting on my nose. I got a Petstages...

Concerned for my skinny kitten, swollen abdomen?

I recently lost a cat to FIP, so I know how this feels. Keep him comfortable, warm and love on him. I had to take out a care credit to be able to afford the tests. I just felt it best to know for sure. You'll know when it's time.

Concerned for my skinny kitten, swollen abdomen?

How did the vet visit go? You said that he has a stuffy nose. That may be why he isn't eating. Some cars won't eat it they can't smell it. Skinny with swollen abdomen could also be due to round worms?

We've been treating for a week and I don't see any improvement. I'm curious if I can just get my hands on ponazuril to...

I can feel stitches under fur of rescue

Yes, can feel them And now I can see them - white stitches. So today I told the same thing to the rescue coordinator and she immediately said, "she has absorbing stitches." But I asked her for the kitten's paper work just to have in case. She sent them to me. It shows that the kitten was...

FIP or NOT ? please help him !!

I lost a kitten to FIP. We kept hoping that it wasn't FIP. It wasn't until his abdomen expanded overnight and i took him back to the vet. She did an ultrasound, saw many pockets of fluid, extracted it and it was yellow. She put some on her fingers to show me how syrup-like it is. She said it's...

    My baby has FIP

I'm so so so sorry that you are going through this. I lost a 4 month old kitten to FIP. I only had him a month and I was caring for him around the clock for 3 out of those 4 weeks. We actually had to have a feeding tube inserted into the side of his neck and I had to feed food, water and...

I can feel stitches under fur of rescue

I'm fostering a couple rescue kittens. The 5-month old female was surrendered and I was told she was spayed. I'm cuddling with her and I start to rub her belly and I feel like nylon stitches through her fur, sitting on top of her skin. I told my husband we got to get her to a vet to have these...
