Our cat just became a mom. The kitten keeps changing nipples like it isn't getting anything. Can anyone give me some tips on how I can tell if my cat is lactating. Their are no visual signs so far.

Unfortunately the answer to this is OH YEAH! My cats Shadow and Merlin have been known to do some pretty powerfull Silent but Deadly of course right when they are curled up on my chest. It always occurs usually when they are at their most comfortable state.

I haven't had any experience with cats. But my dog when we got her from the pound had Kennel cough which she contracted there. She was very quiet and bloodshot eyes. With alot of discharge from her nose. As for sneezing she never really sneezed it was more of a yack yack mucousy sounding cough.

Unfortunately just went into labor again and the one she delivered was breeched. The kitten was born stillborn but me and my husband although still very sad were kind of grateful for it was deformed missing a front arm. We do still pray that the other kittens will do fine but our main thoughts...

Just wanted to update everyone. If you are unaware my cat had one kitten Wednesday and was doing fine and had no more signs of labor. Unfortunately the kitten she did have passed away. We believe it was a premature kitten and that her others will come later. I will update you on when the others...

Yes luckily it was ceserean. He was too big to drop out the right way. Of course it took the doctors ONLY 18 hours to figure that out. Grrrr.

Yes my son was 10'10. 18 hours labor. 2 1/2 weeks overdue. I can make him feel guilty anytime I please. *smile*

Yes I am just glad she is not in labor or at least from what it appears pretty comfortable with it if she is. I was in labor for 18 hours and felt every second of it.

Thanks. That is what me and my husband are going to push but first a ultrasound to make sure they are all ready to come out in case it is indeed a multiple conception thing. We don't want to induce anything that isn't ready.
