Sorry you had that problem and glad things worked out. I've had cats (breeding and showing) for about 30 years. One of the things you can add to Buck's diet twice a week is about 1/2 teaspoon of virgin olive oil. This does several GOOD things:

I agree with everything they say and I sing to my cats when it's feeding time...so they associate my voice with when it's time to eat. High pitched "Whoooooooooo wantsssssss tooooooooo eatttttttttttttt"...LOL They come from every direction and look forward to it. You can stay and talk sweet...
Hi Bazzel, you didn't say how old they were but the first breeding for a male...depending on how old he is, might have shot blanks the first time out. It happens. It's funny how we get so nervous waiting to find out, waiting for them to be born, etc. GemsGen is right about strange things...
