My baby is suffering from overgrooming and the dermatologist has put her on a diet to see if it is food related. My breeder mentioned colloidal-silver might help. Has anyone used this? Can I ask what's the best sort and how much you would give her?
Thanks

Hi,
Well you were right Hissy, I tried a collar on Lulu last night and yes she thought it was a toy! She rolled around on the ground trying to bite it off. So I will wait until they are 6 months old and try again - perhaps without a bell.
I hope she will take to it then?
Thanks
Sharron
I have 2 kittens from the same father (different mothers). One is 2 weeks older (16 weeks) and she has a great and outgoing personality. The younger one shows lots of affection when she is separated from her sister. For example when I take her into another room by herself she turns into a...
Hi all,
Well, I have tried just about every packet treat for kittens available and they don't like them.
Does anyone have any ideas for other treats other than cheese (which they love, but I don't want to give them). I find teaching good habits very difficult without food rewards.
Thanks...
Hi,
I would like to get my (2) 4 month old kittens used to wearing collars so that soon they can go in/outside using the magnetic door. Anyone have any tips to introduce them to collars?

Thanks again to everyone. I took your advice and last night I sat with them both and the shy kitten (Pheobe) came to me and I picked her up for a cuddle!!!!!!! And she loved it! Well what a relief!! I think she will be the cat who likes affection but only in small doses.

Thanks to you all for your advice!
Ranger - that is what my breeder said also - that she will grow out of it. Did Mitz eventually like being picked up? Are your 2 Abys also?
I have stopped separating them now and I spend alot of time with the shy one. Can I ask what you did to help Mitz...
I have just got 2, Abyssinian kittens (sisters by the same father) and they get on great. One is 2 weeks older and very affectionate to us but the younger one, being the only one in her litter, is not. I have been told by the breeder to separate the kittens for long periods to see if we can get...
