When you say a swelled up ear - do you mean the thin part? The thin part hasn't appeared to be swollen - there may be a little swelling at the base of the ear

Nope, Sassy is about 6 months younger than Kitty. And now I'm thinking why when I went to the shelter for another kitty did I get another tabby? Well, I love tabbies, but now it is getting hard to tell them apart at a glance. My husband has a heck of a time.
