Thanks FurMummy. Sadly, the answer to all of those is a very unhelpful 'maybe' - we live in a rural area of the UK and he and his brother wander far and wide in the woodland and fields. He could well have eaten something toxic, or even something else that had eaten something toxic :(

Can anyone brainstorm conditions that would show the following symptoms in a young (1yr old), otherwise healthy cat living in the UK:
hunched, apparent pain
not eating or drinking
lethargic
slow, weak gait...
