    Bladder Stones!

Hi, Rufus has had his surgery, and the vet sent us home with Waltham S/0...not necessarily better than Hill's, but we'll try it for now, and research into other options later

    Bladder Stones!

I will look into those mentioned. Thank you very much for contacting the food pro We are not sure what kind of stones he has, although I believe struvite often leaves crystals in the urine, and Rufus' urinalysis did not show any...grrr...so it may be calcium oxalate. We are pretty sure we'd...

    Bladder Stones!

There are other prescription diets that are just as credible as Hill's, but as a vet I used to work for once said, "they don't take me out to dinner". Not to say, that some vets do not promote the company because it is one of the few recognizable names in the prescription diet industry, but...

    Bladder Stones!

I completely agree and I am perfectly fine changing the diet and spending the money for a quality food. Bottom line: Hill's foods are not a good quality food for the $: Hill's c/d first four ingredients: Brewers Rice, Corn Gluten Meal, Chicken By-Product Meal, Pork Fat Natural balance first...

    Bladder Stones!

Hi, On Thursday, our 4 year old male cat, Rufus, peed on my husband and in the bathtub (completely out of the ordinary)...I suspected a possible UTI, so we made an appointment for Saturday to visit the vet. He was given an x-ray at the vet where it was found that he had three large stones...

    Found Cat Illinois!

I am beginning to think that she was dumped....she was too afraid to move when I found her, so I can't imagine she was a traveler, and I posted signs all over the area (as well as notified a ton of authorities). GRRR! Lets hope I am wrong! Amy

Vet is clueless, we're broke, and Bill is dying!

Luckily for us, Bill has maintained his weight since we brought him to the vet last weekend. We monitor his weight daily with a digital scale, and he is consistantly 8 pounds. Although I am sure you are right in that fluids are vital to many during treatment! Amy

Vet is clueless, we're broke, and Bill is dying!

Oh ....Bill has lost around a pound...but he is a smaller cat. He was 9 pounds and now he is 8. Amy

Vet is clueless, we're broke, and Bill is dying!

The vets special diet...anything Bill will eat! The vet recommended x-rays, and told us that since Bill is not dehydrated, we could attempt to keep him hydrated at home, or if we wanted we could hospitalize him and hook him up to IV fluids. As sick as he is, I don't want to sacrafice his...

Vet is clueless, we're broke, and Bill is dying!

Hi all, I am new here! We have three cats: Bill and Ted are 6 year old brothers, and Rufus is 2 years old. Last week Bill began to throw up his food. After a couple days with no improvement we brought him to the vet. He found Bill to be jaundiced, and thin. He said his intestines felt...
