    Doggy Door Escape Problem

Hi! We have a dog door going into our backyard for our 104 lbs chocolate lab. It's wonderful! But our male cat loves to go outside, and we can't seem to keep him from using the dog's door. Our backyard is fenced in, but it's an old stockade with gaps in the planks, so he could get out of the...

    Stupid question...please indulge me!

It's funny that we can compare this age to a teenager in humans! I was just thinking that these two are more like teenagers than anything! Sapphire is very petite, too. They haven't grown in quite awhile, as I don't even remember the last time I've adjusted their collars (and I check a lot - I'm...

Does anyone else's cat lick plastic bags?

I've caught Neo trying to eat plastic wrappings from various products. I've never seen him try to eat or lick a bag, but he sure can tear them up playing with them! He loves the crinkly sound!

    Body Jerking while sleeping....

Neo and my choc lab, Buddy, both snore and twitch something awful when they get into a good deep sleep. Buddy gets so loud sometimes we have to wake him!

My hair is his favorite toy!

My Neo likes to "groom" me. He'll grab a handful and just start licking and nibbling. He usually licks it the wrong direction, so he's inadvertently teasing my hair. Then he'll get stuck and it'll be very difficult to get him out of my hair. He doesn't do it as much now as he did when he was a...

    Stupid question...please indulge me!

I was always under the impression that kittens were no longer considered kittens at around a year old. My cats are almost 14 months. They don't act like kittens anymore, but I also wouldn't consider them adults. I'm sure it's a little different for each cat, but generally speaking, when is a cat...

    I love it!!!

    nipping question...

Neo bites at my fingers, but always immediately licks them as if to say, "I'm sorry!" If he bites too hard, I say "Ow!!" to let him know it hurts. He knows exactly what that means and doesn't bite hard very often.

    headbutting??

Neo always does it when I'm doing my homework at the piano. It's gotten to the point where if I want love from him, I just have to sit at the piano for a little while. Sapphire does it, but rarely.

    A couple of questions

My cats are over a year old and still make lots of noise at night. We have them in a cat room (with food, water, litterbox, and a lamp) with the door closed at night, so it minimizes the noise. They don't wake me up, but I can hear them before I go to sleep trying to get out (taking flying leaps...

3 kittens need a home in Oklahoma!

My friend has 3 kittens (don't know breed, probably a mix) that are about 13 weeks old that need a home. We're in central Oklahoma, and everyone we know has met their pet maximum and can't take anymore animals. If anyone is interested, please let me know!!

    Feliway

I've seen this product mentioned a lot on this site, but what all is it for? It seems to be a good tip for many problems! I had never heard of it before now.

    Teaching a Kitten

I cuddled my kitties as much as I could when I first got them (rescued at 3 weeks old). They are now a bit over a year old. While Neo loves to be held and cuddled, Sapphire hates it. She will be very aggressive when she wants to be petted (rubbing against my hand over and over), but will not be...

    Shots and inside cats

My cats were 5 or 6 months old when they finally met the weight requirement for spay/neuter. Not having ever lived with a cat in heat, I'd be afraid my cat would go into heat if I waited too long.

    Feces flinging feline. Help!

I've never had a problem with feces, but before I got the covered box, it seemed like my cats would fling the litter as if they were in a pile of money! The floor in their room would be a solid layer of litter by 3 days after I last vacuumed. I haven't had the covered box long enough to know...
