    Fish/Salmon Oil

I agree, too much of a good thing can be really bad.  But I observed clearly a difference for my geriatric girl when I gave her a small amount (sporadically) of the Aller-G stuff.  I would not necessarily suggest giving it to an otherwise agile cat.

    Fish/Salmon Oil

My gang get very little fish flavor food but I added fish oil to my geriatric cat's food for her arthritis.  It made a noticeable difference.  My vet recommends fish oil over glucosamine but she also recommends that you get stuff that is made specifically for cats.  I used a product called...

    Constipation Issues

You can find child size suppositories in just about any drugstore right next to the regular ones. I see them frequently although I haven't had to use them since that time.

    Cat Licking her mouth

If other changes don't work, you might want to get a second opinion on the teeth.  My friend had a terrible experience when TWICE the vet told her that her diabetic cat's teeth were fine.  Then one day she stopped eating and went into shock. Mystified, my friend was told that Kitty's teeth were...

    Constipation Issues

P.S. I used KY jelly to lubricate the suppository and his anus.  My husband distracted my dear boy and I just popped it right in.  A few minutes later he headed for the litter box.

    Constipation Issues

My diabetic tuxedo (long since passed away) had constipation issues sometimes.  I read from the international meeting of small animal vets that you can use a child size glycerin suppository on your cat.  I did and it worked like a charm.  It's not a long term fix but it can rescue the kitty who...

    L-Lysine questions please.....

How much does Perla weigh?  I give my 16 lb. Valentine 1000 mg for about 3 days when he is having a tough bout.  I have never done "maintenance", only megadoses for a short period.

Socializing neutered vs. non-neutered stray - Help!

First, thank you so much for replies.  I should have supplied more details in my post.  I have already captured this cat.  She has been living in a basement storage area of a building in my complex for more than three months, fed and with litter box by someone else.  I currently have her on an...

Socializing neutered vs. non-neutered stray - Help!

I rescued a stray about 10 days ago.  I've been working with her and she shows some promise although I believe she is about 85% feral at this time.  She will not look me in the eye.  I have not touched her.  I'm trying to arrange spaying (pretty sure it's a she) with the ASPCA or Humane Society...

Former feral has gone potty on my comforter

If you put an additional litter box beside your bed, I think this will remedy your problem. I've seen it work.

Feral tomcat finally trusts me, advice on behaviour, how to proceed and some questions

I could take a look at your video.  One of my boys has feline herpes virus flareups occasionally.  I give him megadoses (1000mg) of L-Lysine for a couple of days.  I don't know if this is your guy's problem but it's a relatively safe solution to try.  If you do this, buy a high quality Lysine...
