Kitty moves really slowly, no meowing, not eating or drinking

Something appears to be majorly wrong and I would consider this an emergency.  If you can get him to the vet sooner, please do.  I just went through the same symptoms with my male cat - extremely lethargic, vomiting bile, not eating, not drinking, moving slowly, would lay down wherever I put...

Hepatic lipidosis--anyone have experience with tube feeding?

When you try to give her the treats, try a single one.  For some reason that worked with our cat.  Its like he saw one on the carpet and needed to eat it.  So we would put down a second, then he ate that too.  He would stop after 4 or so, but it was a start. Also, try different treats.  Our cat...

Hepatic lipidosis--anyone have experience with tube feeding?

Also, dont scold her or yell if she doesnt want to eat... it will make her dread when you get the food and syringes.  If you are worried about clogs, make sure you flush the tube with 10 milliliters of water every couple hours.  We did that and never had a problem. To get our cat to eat, we...

Hepatic lipidosis--anyone have experience with tube feeding?

I just got done tube feeding for 3 weeks for our cat that had a foreign body blockage.  You need to feed SLOWLY until she is used to it.  It feels weird for them to not be eating but suddenly have a bunch of food in their stomach. What we did: - Waited until our cat was sleeping, or being very...

4 year old male cat - VERY lethargic, won't eat, won't drink, vomiting

He's a completely different cat.  He was always my girlfriend's cat, but now he comes running to me.  He's so much friendlier.  I don't know if it's just us paying him more attention or if he is just so happy to be feeling better.

4 year old male cat - VERY lethargic, won't eat, won't drink, vomiting

Tube's out and everything is back to normal!   Just thought I'd include a picture of him and what a $5000 rubber door stop looks like.

    Cat peeing on the floor.

Try a new vet... my cat had stones and was doing the exact same thing.  He needs a special prescrip. wet food.  After that, I keep my cat on Purina Urinary Health dry food (available at walmart) and he hasn't had any more issues

4 year old male cat - VERY lethargic, won't eat, won't drink, vomiting

Just wanted to give an update... He's almost totally back to normal but is much friendlier than he was before.  I don't know if he realizes how close he came to not making it.  The only issue that remains is he is barely eating on his own.  Just a couple bites here and there but he's getting...

4 year old male cat - VERY lethargic, won't eat, won't drink, vomiting

Took him in for a follow up, everything still normal.  I bought a different type of food today and he ate on his own so that's very very good!  He was much more active today but I just gave him his anti-nausea and it really knocks him out.  He's definitely on the mend though!

4 year old male cat - VERY lethargic, won't eat, won't drink, vomiting

He's still doing good today, taking some treats but still sleeping a lot.  He jumped up on our bed this morning to sleep between us so that's a good sign.  No more vomiting and he looks more alert when he is awake.  Liver biopsy came back today.. totally normal.  So hopefully he will be back to...

4 year old male cat - VERY lethargic, won't eat, won't drink, vomiting

He got up a while ago and came in to head butt me, use the bathroom, and ate a single treat from my hand.  Then he went and crashed again.  He seems to be doing better, just exhausted I did call the vet, they said it's to be expected but he should be better tomorrow

You're probably right... I'll just keep a close eye on him.  We have a follow up on Wednesday anyways

4 year old male cat - VERY lethargic, won't eat, won't drink, vomiting

Just finished the first tube feeding, pretty easy.  I'm concerned that he is still so lethargic though.  He looks like he did before we brought him to the vet.  Wherever I put him, he just lays down and stays. Then he is asleep within a minute or less.  In fact, even when I stand him up he looks...
