Mary Jane went into labor about an hour ago. I just knew it was going to be today. She's been in her nesting box all day and her teats were very swollen and hanging. Sure enough, when the real contractions began she called for us (DH and I!) I made the mistake of moving her box into the...

I forgot to mention that touching her stomach is usually a huge no-no. She's also crying at me a lot. Keeps going back to the nest. Her teats are really swollen like milk is starting to fill in.

About 30 minutes ago Mary Jane ran into the room, meowing and rubbing all over me and getting in position to nurse my crying daughter (I was in the middle of getting her into PJs). At first I thought "awww she's trying to calm her" but now...I don't know. The baby's crying is bothering her, but...

Awww congrats! I'm waiting For kittens here myself. I think the anticipation is worse than when I was in the last weeks of my own pregnancy, haha.

That's pretty cool. I'm anxious to see if she calls for me when it's time. She's certainly very much bonded to me. I'm the only one who can touch her belly at all. She attacks my husband if he even tries but she rolls right over for me, hehe.
