    Help with an odd kitty.

Almost a month later and guess who shows up. Would she have had kittens by now? She looks to be a normal size and there wasn't anything with her nipples to indicate her having kittens. She's climbing a shelf right now.  Edit: Never mind- I'm not pursuing the matter. She wanted to go outside so...

    Help with an odd kitty.

I'm trying to get her as soon as possible. My mother reported seeing her sprawled out in the grass of a neighbor's yard, so she's going to ask them if it's their cat. (Even though they didn't respond to the flier I made) That's the only possible person she could belong to, really.

No sign of her yet. She always disappears during bad weather and for some time after (You'd think she'd be drawn out, what with all the wind and rain) which points to her having a house to go to, but everything else about her behavior says the opposite. I guess we'll wait and see.

Update: Haven't seen her since she was in the house when I posted a few days ago. Hoping the bad weather will draw her here.

Thanks for the links, especially the allergy one. Luckily the cat would have almost half of the house largely to itself, and we've already determined that she won't be allowed in the bedroom (We have parakeets in there as well) so she should be good.

I'm not too worried about the scratching lol. I don't really have any cat amenities in the house. If it does become a problem I'll jump that hurdle when I get there.

Fingers crossed. After a discussion my mother is on board with at least having the cat inside for a few days to prove herself. She's a furniture scratcher but I'll hide that long enough for her to prove her sweetness lol. Still unconvinced about it being homeless, she agreed that if she didn't...

Hopefully I get her inside soon enough. I'll also have to find time to convince the parents to keep her in and convince them to partially pay for the spaying, and I need to do all this in a month's time. I hope I can do it. I hope she doesn't disappear and have the kittens outside

Thanks so much    Maybe I'll get lucky and I can convince them to bring the cat for a spaying and checkup next week(assuming she doesn't disappear like she does) I can always pay them back..

Well then spaying sounds far easier. Any ideas on the cost? They aren't even on board with letting the poor thing in the house for more than a half an hour, and they're still convinced it has an owner.  If anything  I could try and get brought to the vet's to get her checked for a microchip...

Oh, well its good to know I have a little time to convince.. If all else fails she could deliver the kittens but that wouldn't be ideal.

I haven't seen her since the day she was in the house. Maybe I can convince her to bring her to the vet when the cat comes back- how late would I be able to spay her? She has a habit of disappearing at important times.

Also, I haven't the slightest idea of what to do if she is pregnant. I've read a few articles describing pregnant cats just showing up and charming their way into the house, but oddly enough this cat has been lurking around since the summer. If she comes around soon I can try and get a ride to...

    Help with an odd kitty.

I've talked to the neighbor's who were considerate enough to answer their door or call from the fliers. It could  be the pet of this sketchy guy on my road but he's not exactly the best owner. Like you said, If she's halfway through, the owners don't care enough about her to take care of it.  ...

My apologies for the double post. Anyways, so much for empathy- if they didn't like the cat before, they despised learning it is probably pregnant. I'm at a dead end- if I say it's not pregnant than they'll think it's well fed and has an owner, and if I say it is pregnant they won't want it around.
