one of my cats ,is not peeing outside per se, but the urine is running down the sides of litter box sometimes. is just time to try a larger litter box?

my cats eye had a clear ooze afterwards, then she had a hard time opening it.so i ''assumed'' it was the food. but the next day and a half the eye was fine. but thank you
