I would bet that what they wanted was the thickness of your hair. My dear departed mamma had very thin hair [and would lament and cry about it on occasion] and my grandmama was actually bald to the middle of the top of her skull. Where did I get my unmanageable mane? Musta been the milkman !

I was always 'quite the reader' [still am] and one of my favorite memories was going to the mobile library van and checking out an armfull of books to read under the shade of one of the backyard trees on a blanket with a cool lemonade in hand. Lovely.

Had a manicure once and never had another because I was disappointed that the cuticles were still visable to my eye. I do a much better job myself. I carefully trim my cuticles after a bath, apply vaseline for an hour or two and then push them back with my wood stick. NO visable cuticles...

My hair is also very thick AND very 'light'. I let it grow to it's current length because I then braid it and then wrap the braid around the back of my head into something like a bun. Wanna hear something really ironic? More than a few people have commented on how 'beautiful' my hair is...
