It doesn't look like it. I gave her some KMR to make sure she had fluids and some nutrients after the day, but shes not acting too out of the ordinary. Just a bit tired. Ill talk to the shelter and if nothing more has happened, Ill take her into a vet to see if they think she has any more, and...
Sorry, Ive been in contact with the emergency vet as well as the shelter. The little boy ended up passing about 45 minutes ago.Mama seems to still be doing okay though, but im keeping a close eye on her.
It took two more around 15 minutes ago, but its barely opening ist mouth and the movements it makes are only because Im squeezing its paw. Its frustrating, but I know I can't do much. If anyting this is an example to anyone and everyone on why they should spay their kitties. poor young mama.
I...
As much as I want this kitty to pull through I don't know if its going to. It already looks like its fading. Im going to keep it under the heat lamp for an hour or so but its not very responsive.
Yeah, Id assume so. She lapped up a bunch of water and purred. Shes sleeping now, but she will...
Her stomach is not as hard or full as it used to be. Shes stopped pushing and prettyy much anything else labor related (the whole time she didn't even make a peep.) I don't know if shes still pregnant but I don't feel anything
thankfully my partner is coming into town for the next five or so days so they should be able to help get over the hump (if the poor thing makes it through the night). I will keep you guys updated on mama and babies. Right now shes chilling alone in her nesting box, seemingly without...
It took the first few but I didn't want to overwhelm the little thing. I was going to try giving it one or two drops 10ish minutes so it got the milk, but just in small increments.
@talkingpeanut It looks about 7.5-8 weeks old. whiskers, claws, pads, and a tiny bit of fur color showing through. It did cry, and although its not now, it keeps opening its mouth like its trying to. Im going a few drops at a time because of how tiny the thing is. the picture makes it look...
UPDATE UPDATE
She had two more premature babies, one died but the other is alive. The mother refused to care for it, after it cried, so I went and took action.
Right now it is under a heat lamp and i have kmr, supplements, and a syringe. It has whiskers, claws, pads, and it looks like you can...
I felt her tummy to see if there was any contractions, and while I didn't feel any, I did feel a kick or two. So I am hoping that is a good sign. Im crossing my fingers.
Mama is not acting pained or distressed, but I took her into the shelter to get her looked at, and the premature kitten, to make sure nothing else should be done. They agreed the kitten was probably only five and a half or six weeks of age, and wouldn't have survived. Aside from her sniffles...
Sorry that post was so scrambled, I was a bit shaken by the dead baby and making sure the mother was okay. The sack is still out of her, and I called the emergency vet close to me and they told me only to come in or go to my normal vet if it has been longer than 2 hours between kittens. Do you...
Update,
she had a premature kitten this morning. I woke up hearing a bunch of shuffling in her litter box and found the kitten there. I have pictures but they are kinda graphic. I opened the sac as fast as I could, seeing as I had just woken up, but it didn't look like the kitten was breathing...
