I began my sojourn in animal rescue in the early 1970's with equines. I [we]] pretty well stuck to wild critters until the late 80's. In the early 90's I accidentally got involved with feline rescue, and have concentrated mostly on them since.
Some rescues have been very challenging, and even for the sweet ones that we only got to touch/hold for a few moments, it has always been rewarding and never deterred us from continuing.
