I am going away for 4 days and leaving my cat at home. He is pretty chill, not neurotic like many cats, but I feel terrible. I have a professional sitter coming to spend time with him every day but I wonder if he will think I disappeared and he will be traumatized.

cat wakes me at 6 a nd keeps me awake till 9. if i shut the door he screams what the hell do i do? I am sick of this .

You're right. Licking is for when they know each other. 

I left a window open and when I came in there was a cat outside on the sill. My cat ran up to the window. They didn;t lick but I am not positive they did not before I got there. Could they pass leukimia that way? MY cat is awaiting shots.
