yes cats "can" die from it, my kitten did anyhow, but your cat may have a stronger immune system and be able to fight it, however i would reccomend vet visit, maybe they'll prescribe antibiotics...and watch out for appetite loss...bad sign...
...i don't know if they are checking those things....today over the phone when i tried to tell them about the secretions and what i was afraid it might be (since i had spent all night reading about it) they almost laughed at me saying "where did you read that rubbish?"...i feel like a fool...
i don't have words to express the gratitude for all your posts, so i hope "thank you" is enough. this is a special site, with special people with noble hearts.
thanks to all: stormy, eatrawfish, Beckiboo, awliston, catsknowme, Raggedy Ann, sadisticookie, booktigger, PetLover, gayef, captiva.

I agree with Beckiboo, you gave your Dalla everything, you dedicated time and love to her, did all you could. She knew she was on her way, and she wanted to be with YOU while passing from her "physical" life to the other side. That's why she tried to crawl into your lap, because you were so...
this is very sad i'm really very sorry, junior was "especially special" because of what happened to your husband...he was a present from a dear person that you lost, and i'm sure junior helped keep the memory of your husband alive everyday. i can understand how you feel and i wish you all the...
hi all,
just wanted to update on little oscar; he's still at the vet and they said that he's eating special food for intestinal problems, his poo is looking a bit better and he hasn't had anymore strange secretions. so maybe it was just a one time thing when that happened...? he doesn't have...
i am still crying....because we all understand how you feel, because we all blame ourselves, because we see our little babies so defenceless...he loved you dearly and still does, as you continue to love him. i don't think anyone on this site would ever say "it was just a cat". or else they...
I'm sorry, I just have to let it out, I have cried all evening while reading all your stories about your little companions who have "crossed the bridge" and I keep thinking about my sweet oliver. i just want to write about what happened. it won't bring him back, it's no different from any other...
no, he was not "just a cat".... they are everything to us, those who truly love cats will know, they are unique, not like dogs, not like birds, not like rabbits, or anything else for that matter. they are cats and we love them as they love us. i'm sure your sweetie felt you there with him every...
hi there,
less than 2 weeks i was forced to put my kitten to sleep after it agonized for days with oxygen and I.V. He had ulcers in his mouth and a completely stuffed up nose, therefore obviously would not and could not eat. He went into a coma and we thought it was time to stop his suffering...
i am praying for your peaches...my little oscar had some secretions yesterday too and i sped him to the vet...maybe you should leave your peaches at the vet to be controlled carefully so they can figure out exactly what's going on? i always prefer to be paranoid rather than risk losing my baby...
