Here is another spay/neuter video that was created for the San Fran Humane Society, but whose rights were purchased by PETA. A fairly effective commercial, and I think it won some ad awards too IIRC. Hopefully, it's considered appropriate.
I don't know if I would say that Rescue Remedy is about the same. I would say that Rescue Remedy is more general in its approach, while the ones on Cat Fairies are more specific (kind of the shotgun versus rifle approach). There are also some good flower essence options from Anaflora.

The first one may be what you're looking for. You can always e-mail Gail (the owner) as she's a wealth of knowledge.
BTW, with the extensive testing during the (ongoing) development of our organic catnip toys, I have never witnessed this behavior either with our cats or my sister-in-law's cats. And we have about 200 pounds of catnip sitting around
I was going to say, it sounds like he thinks he's bringing you prey. When I was growing up, our outdoor cat would leave bird carcasses on the patio steps. He wanted to show off
The weird thing is there is no hard and fast rule to this. One of our cats will start to get overstimulated and ancy, which will eventually lead her to bite/swipe at you.
Another one of our cats never gets overstimulated, regardless of how much you pet them.
Rescue Remedy is excellent. That's why we sell it on our site
The flower essences I listed above are much more specific, but Rescue Remedy certainly can't hurt.
This is my own personal opinion, so take it for what it's worth, but I am not a big fan of prescribing mood altering drugs to animals. This isn't to say they don't work, but I am still not convinced it's a good idea...
I don't know of the effects in cats, but Buspar in humans isn't recommended...
The socialization method suggested is good. It's very similar to how Caesar Milan approaches socializing problem dogs. Also, here is another option to consider too. There is a flower essence called Feral Cat Comforter. This page describes any questions you may have regarding the Anaflora flower...
Well, cats are very intuitive. You've just discovered this for yourself
In fact, there is now scientific research into a cat's purr and its healing effects. You can Google it and see for yourself.
I think every time you lay down you should place one of your cats right over your heart and pet...
A short term option may also be to get some Rescue Remedy at a store like Whole Foods. Putting a couple drops in the water every time you change it and rubbing some on the kitten's ears and/or paws can certainly help with your pets apparent distress.
Our cats certainly understand the word "Hey." THey immediately stop whatever they're doing. My sister-in-law's cat, however, does his own thing whenever he pleases. I have a feeling it's because she doesn't follow through in her discipline.
The number of times I have to say "Hey" with our cats...
