One of my cats love to play fetch. I didn't trained him for it. One day i was playing with him, and he brought the ball back on his own. I started to reward him for it, so he will keep doing it. He is now almost 4 yrs old, and still playing fetch like a kitten :D

I forgot to mention, if your new cat has one of those collars with a bell, remove the bell. My cat used to follow the new one everywhere, never letting her catch a break. After i removed the bell from her collar he doesn't follow her as much. His has a bell, so she can be aware of where he is at.
