I understand that, but to get them spayed, and then have them run away, or get hit by a car/tractor, it is almost a waste of money.

They are just barn cats. My parents won't bring them to the vet.

One of my barn cats had a litter of kittens, and their eyes are stuck shut. They are all crusty and I don't know how to open them. Any tips that are pretty simple?

Thank you. We get the puppy on Saturday, so when I get him I will send a picture. 

She will go to the vet on the 10th. She is getting her shots then, and then we will set up an appointment to get her spayed.
